Thank you. If there are no state funerals for former FL, it must have been a private funeral by the Carter family. That leads to a few possibilities. One is that there were no protocols being observed at all and Melania positioned herself at the head of the First Lady procession and chose the aisle seat. Another is that, absent official protocols for entry and seating positions, the Carter family wanted Melania to have the “priority” positions we saw, suggesting the Carter family just liked Melania better. A third is that the Carter family didn’t look at the order of entry or seating position as anything special and put the prettiest FL at the head of the line and gave Melania the aisle seat because she needed more leg room. Putting Hillary at the end supports in my mind that, if the Carter family organized the entry procession, they placed the women in order of their preference. It doesn’t sound like we should read anything political into Melania’s position in the line or on the aisle.
