Interesting it helps with the side effects from radiation; are they permanent or temporary?

The thyroid is forever gone (atrophied), but there is medicine for that that seems to be ok.
The trachea (speech trachea) is damaged and I may never talk above a whisper again (the dr. Thinks I will never regain voice), but the ginger tea seems to help for some reason. I can at least talk in a louder whisper after drinking it.
Fluid is getting into one lung, but we can’t find the reason. It’s usually heart, but the heart is ok, once the fluid builds up I start having a cough that I spit up gross stuff. The tea is beneficial for that as well. There is scarring on that lung as well that was caused by radiation and not the tumor.
Kind of like the cure is worse than the disease. LOl. There’s a few other things not relevant to ginger tea.

I won’t be on FR until this evening and i will post some info on the health thread that may be of use to you, and I’ll ping you. Prayers for your improved health. Ivermectin is very good against cancer, likely a preventive routine will be good for you.
From your description you took a very high dose of ionizing radiation. By definition that would damage your immune system and very likely contributes to that wet cough you describe. Those are both things that a dose of ivermectin would most likely help. If you haven’t taken some already it’s worth a try and it certainly wouldn’t hurt.
One of my lifetime pet peeves is the quacks who treat with radiation can never tell you what the exposure was/is. Not knowing that makes recovery more of a krap shoot than a treatment. But try to work on your basic immunities.
I can recommend a couple of things that reduce inflammation from radiation, even long after the fact. One is lavender essential oil (the really pure stuff from Young Living). Another is niacin (the flush variety).
My brother had head-and-neck cancer in 2003. The radiation gave him a terrible sunburn at the time (we didn’t know that lavender oil would help with that) and it left him with three permanent side effects: a bald spot on his head, retinal damage on one side that eventually progressed to the loss of 40% of the visual field in that eye, and a carotid artery that completely closed down. Fortunately the last one happened so slowly that his body was able to grow new arteries around it — not a perfect solution, but it works ok.
More than 15 years later he started on niacin. Within a few months, his bald spot had grown back and his vision had recovered to normal. The carotid artery is still blocked, but he’s OK with that. Although his doctor wanted him to continue on statins, he recently quit the statins and is feeling much better both mentally and physically.
About voice... years ago I sang a LOT and my voice started to go out at times. I found that chewing a piece of raw peeled ginger root would bring it right back. Some singers (iir) use ginger root with honey.
