Around 25 years ago when J. Orlin Grabbe was posting at the now defunct “Lessez Faire Times” website, he explained something odd that happened in 1990. In that year an unusually large number of powerful senators and congressmen called it quits. Grabbe said that a group of CIA folks who labeled themselves the Fifth Column had gathered information on these people. The senators and congressmen received envelopes full of information on crimes for which they could be indicted and imprisoned, but they were told that if they left public life, that info would never see the light of day. If they attempted to continue with their political careers, however, the next envelope would contain their indictments.

My own personal theory was that this was in preparation for the election of Ross Perot in 1992, but that didn’t happen because Perot was a failed vessel. The people behind Perot, however, were almost all from Naval Intelligence. I don’t think that was a coincidence.

I suspect we’re seeing the same phenomenon again with more retirements coming in the next few weeks, all in preparation for the election of Trump.

Thanks for bringing up J. Orlin Grabbe. He was a hero and a genius. He wrote a widely used textbook on international security protocols used in securing financial transactions. The story you refer to was the “Angel of Death,” aka retired CIA agent, Charles Hayes who used the information garnered via ProMIS software to threaten members of Congress that they needed to announce, “they planned to seek retirement in order to spend more time with family” or to be exposed as treasonous criminals. Hayes and his team found foreign accounts with 10s of billions of $ used to bribe members of Congress. This was all part of the Vince Foster murder.

I remember checking every morning to see if the latest “drop” from Grabbe had been released. If he were still alive, I would guess he was part of the Q group.

I supported and voted for H.Ross because he plainly stated his goal was to defeat the halfassed POS Bush41. At one point he said that he was going to back off because it “appeared the dimokrats had gotten their act together.”

I have a copy of H.Ross’s book about rescueing his guys in Iran. Nothing “failed vessel” about that. He got it done while Carter diddled. Then remember Perot’s very successful business was data processing, so, yeah, he had access to all kinds of smart people, Navy and otherwise.

And I do see a house cleaning coming. The pressure that Jordan and Comer are putting on looks to be making dumbasses nervous.
