>>> I just think the angel-fathers theory is not backed by scriptures. Goliath died just like any man; nothing special about him, just bigger.

Actually, the angel-fathers is NOT theory. It’s found explicitly in the bible... in the very first prophecy:

Gen 3:15
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed”

Demons are disembodied spirits of the angel/human hybrids.

Yes... they can die... they are part human.

Also... angels (even fallen ones) would have no desire to possess a human body, because theirs are so much more powerful and durable than ours. It would be like us wanting to possess an earthworm. It’s the demons (LIKE GOLIATH) who are not confined after death because of their angelic origins, and yet have lost their physical bodies, and therefore want to possess humans. (humans have to give them permission)

**Gen 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed”**

Yep, sin brought the great division between God and mankind. And Satan would truly hate the woman because of what her role would be in destroying him. Yet, mankind would from that point on be stained with sin and of their ‘father the devil’ (John 8:38-47).

And I am glad you brought that up the first part of that verse, so I can finish it:

“..it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

So, we can see that the ‘seed of the woman’ (Jesus Christ) will destroy Satan, while Jesus Christ will be mildly harmed (indestructable as it turned out).

And after Gen. 6:2, verse 3 shows God’s anger toward man:

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for he is also flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

Would you stance be better interpreted by wording it this way?...

“.. My spirit shall not always strive with demon spirits for they have become flesh also...”
