Reminds me of the 1983 movie “Of Unknown Origin” with Peter Weller. Big rat in a man’s freshly self-renovated NYC brownstone home. He tries everything to rid his home of the rat. Including bringing in a cat. Poor kitty... It was just another “gotcha moment” horror movie, but I enjoyed it. It will make you think twice before raising the toilet lid, though...
