Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson views the United States Congress’ approval of additional aid for Ukraine “with confidence and optimism.”
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Politico.
“I think it’s all going to come together in the coming days. I’m optimistic about it, I’m confident that we can do it - see it through,” Johnson said.
He added that there is a sense of urgency in providing assistance to both Israel and Ukraine, adding that there is “a lot of intense negotiations” among members of Congress.
Johnson also said that aid to Israel is a top priority for the United States, and called aid to Ukraine another priority.
“Of course, we cannot allow Vladimir Putin to march across Europe, and we understand the need to provide assistance to Ukraine,” Johnson said.

I’ve been noticing your disdain for American populists. I’m guessing you consider us as fit only for a basket of deplorables.
Russia is trying to advance where they can concentrate forces to attack, regardless of the value of the land. Putin wants political victories to sell to the Russians who are the base of his power in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Avdiivka is even worse for Russia than Bakhmut. Since 2014 Ukraine built it into a fortress, not just a front line. Russia has had its largest losses to date trying to take it, up to a battalion a week. Even if they succeeded, they gain nothing for it.

Russian soldiers are reporting 1000 casualties a day in Avdiivka. Incredible. Worse than they ever suffered at Bakhmut. Not sure how long the country can sustain this level of loss.
