Yup. I get what he's saying, but his concern can be taken care of very easily by just letting the steak rest outside of the fridge until it's no longer chilled - no need to ruin the steak by microwaving it for even a few minutes to warm it up.

I would never, ever put a piece of steak into a microwave, unless it was already cooked and I was making a quick steak sandwich or something.

Who would do that to a steak?
