I have grown to hate football.

I’m so happy I have a comrade in this regard. I used to enter suicide football pools because it was somewhat of an office social activity and you were frowned upon and called cheap if you didn’t cough up your $20 every year. I performed respectably in most of them (research!), once splitting $1200 (US) 3 ways, in spite of never watching a game in my life. The game moves too slowly for this energizer bunny raised on hockey. I was grateful to have an accepted excuse to leave the pool when all the kneeling for the anthem started. Please don’t ask me how I tolerate golf. I understand it’s somewhat of an inconsistency in my expressed POV.

Me too on the football. But hubby watches college and pro. He played in college, defensive tackle. Maybe that’s why. I dislike TV and just don’t watch. It works for us.
