I used to work at a university. There was a retired faculty member who was cheesed off because our IT wouldn't work on his computer. Actually, it was a university computer that he failed to give back, once he retired.

It’s pretty common. Faculty members are really suspect. It’s why we don’t have in-person IT support. You have to bring it in so we can find out what is on it.
I had a faculty member send me a screenshot and one of the tabs he had open was Neo-Nazi site StormFront.
