Horrid decision. Hopefully, Nevada voters kill the stadium project.
If history is any indicator, whatever city the A's team moves to becomes a crap hole city within a few decades.
Bastards.
Follow the $$$$$ Oakland is a hellhole compared to Vegas but in a few years it’s conceivable that Vegas will utterly look like Oakland does now.
With the legalization of sports betting all over the country I wonder if they are going to take down the “Black Sox notice” in the clubhouse?
I watch the Celtics and they post the changing odds during the damned game now. I don’t think that is good for the game.
Back to KC
Oakland used to be the home of three pro franchises - the Raiders, the Warriors and the A’s - all gone. Two of them to Vegas.
Leftardism ruined Oakland - no surprise there.
This is Terrible, where will the gangs on minority yutes get their stuff if nobody comes to the stadium?
Ping.
Back when I lived there in the late ‘90s, it was too dangerous to go to games.
Only a fool with a death wish would go now.
Much of Oakland is scary and dangerous, BUT this is still a stupid move. The Bay Area has a much larger population to support a team fanbase. And Oakland has really nice weather for baseball, and the fact is that the Coliseum site, with plenty of parking and freeway and BART access is such that fans can to a large extent parachute in and not really experience the worst of Oakland. Vegas has a relatively small population, and in the summer (i.e., baseball season) is ridiculously hot. Yeah, I guess they can do an air-conditioned indoor stadium or something, but that’s pretty lame.
Philadelphia, Kansas City, Oakland, Las Vegas.
At least the names of the cities are diverse: Greek name, half-Indian/half-Latin name, English name, Spanish name.
sacramento has a AAA team. Time to step up.
LOL! Well, they will be the first franchise to make THREE moves. Currently, they are tied with the Braves for TWO.
Oakland is a ...fill in the blank___________.
New York and Chicago really are the only cities that needs 2 baseball teams. And I’m not so sure about Chicago these days.
Any move from an American version of Mogadishu is a good move...
They are probably more A’s fans now living in Las Vegas than Oakland.
They are going to have to play all night games. What fan wants to sit for 3 hours in the Las Vegas summer sun?
