ACMA is a government authority, which means the government will directly control speech. The new law, if I read it correctly, will ban any speech that questions government. Any speech that questions government health orders. Any speech that does not fit the narrative of certain protected classes. Any speech that questions global warming. Any speech the government doesn’t like, basically.
Just add Australia to the list of countries that websites need to block access from, since it is easier to just block access to people from those areas than it is to comply with free speech restrictions.
Elect Trump as president and let him pull us out of the 5Eyes security pact with our new/old enemies: UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They are no longer allies nor trustworthy.
