Our return?
At this rate the Russians will beat us.
RE: Our return?
Yes. Why the question?
The Apollo 11 Moon landing in July 1969 was a huge feat of human endeavour, engineering and science. It was a moment that the world had been waiting for. Apollo 11 was followed by six further trips to the Moon, five of which landed successfully. Apollo 17 was the last human landing taking place between 7 and 19 December 1972. It was a 12-day mission and broke many records, the longest space walk, the longest lunar landing and the largest lunar samples brought back to Earth.
In total, 12 men have walked on the lunar surface in total.
ALL AMERICANS !
RE: At this rate the Russians will beat us.
Or even India !!
Indian lunar lander Chandrayaan-3 successfully touched down on the lunar surface just 3 months ago on August 23, 2023, making India the fourth nation to successfully land rovers on the Moon and the first to land in the moon’s south pole region.
Biggest impediment to America’s success in anything is the government run by Democrats.
During President Trump’s administration, SpaceX would test various parts of the Starship program almost once a month. Many times they ‘tested to failure’ to find out the limits of materials, equipment, etc. The Hussein/Biden Regime has refused to let SpaceX proceed. They were ready last August for the next Starship test launch. The government is not just slow walking, they are creating more and more barriers. After one part of the government finished their investigation, Fish & Wildlife “began” their review in early October. The Chicoms are probably funneling more $$$ to Hussein and Biden as long as they continue to hinder SpaceX.
LOL! The last shuttle launched in July 2011. Elon has been at work but never his goal to go to the moon(?). Diversity is our strength right?

WHO CARES???????
Let them go to the moon and set up a lovely community.
โOur, us, weโ
I donโt think most Americans really care about this type of national achievement anymore. Especially when the globalist US government hates and is going to war against its traditional, conservative, patriotic citizens.
You said it best.
Let the Chinese spend bi!lions to go to the moon. Rocks and dust and no air and no other resources worth the cost of getting them.
I recall that day in July quite well. I think it was on a Friday or Saturday. My whole family watched what was broadcast.
Been there, done that, got the moon rocks.
NASA, just like the rest of this gooberment, couldn’t organize a piss up in a pub. What is more the failure would set records for cost.
35+ trillion in debt, and we’re screaming about heading back to the moon, where we cannot recover a fraction of what we spend to get there.
Nasa today couldn’t build an Apollo rocket/capsule correctly, and would somehow pay easily 5x what it should cost.
let Musk keep using his money to get to space. the USA cannot afford it.
Not if NASA fires a busload of Indian “refugees” at the backside of the moon to repair their first lander.
Exactly
Let ‘em. The moon ain’t goin’ anywhere. Knock yourselves out, ChiComs.
