S&G’s whimsical delivery was great, but Yes’s intensity made “America” better, just as Disturbed massively crushed “Sound of Silence.”
Disturbed’s cover was great. I was a big Yes fan but l could never make up my mind about “America”. Their take certainly changed the mood of it. On balance l think preferred S&G’s, it seemed more in line with the lyrics. I remember Yes’s being really polarizing.
