Generally speaking, no. If using a company provided asset (laptop, smartphone, virtual machine, etc..) a company's EUC Policy (End User Computing) specifies behaviors that are allowd / not allowed in general terms on company provided devices.

In that EUC there would be a clause stating that all activities on that device are monitored. Monitoring includes logging of those activities and analysis of whether or not the device is being used in accordance with the types of behaviors/use cases specified in the EUC.

Any/every company worth their salt has an EUC which requires acknowledgement by an employee before they're issued a device.
