Great info, Bob. Thanks. I also keep guaifenesin on hand. I’m asthmatic and a cold will often go to my chest. I remember Contac, my mother swore by that med. Oh and turpenhydrate for a deep cough. That stuff was wicked.
My mother kept a bottle of terpin hydrate in the medicine cabinet for years "just in case." Mom considered it to be somethiog of a magic bullet because the family doctor of my childhood and an aunt who worked in a drug store were both fans of the stuff.
Oh, what I would give for some turpenhydrate with codeine. That was the only thing that helped my coughing.
