President Donald Trump promised Saturday to “completely eradicate veterans’ homelessness in America” if elected to a second term in 2024.
During a Veterans Day rally in New Hampshire, Trump maintained that veterans were being “backstabbed” and betrayed, accusing the Biden administration of reinstating “5,000 VA employees” that the Trump White House had fired, or giving those employees “full BACKPAY at a cost of up to $200 million dollars.”
Trump then pledged that if elected, he would “ask Congress to take very penny of that money and finally build a brand new state-of-the-art full-service VA hospital” in New Hampshire.
