I too now have a mix of both ICE 2 cycle/4 cycle power equipment pieces on my 12 acre property.
For certain applications I find that I actually prefer the Stihl battery powered tool. The hedge trimmer is a perfect application because I use it two or three days a year. The rest of the time it hangs on the wall in the shed.
When I blew the piston on my 1990 Stihl 026 chainsaw I bought a 12” Stihl battery operated saw. It takes the same battery as the hedge trimmer. It is perfect for limbing. I also can hold it above my head with one hand. It is NOT made for cutting down a 12-24” diameter Red Oak tree. However, once that tree is laying on the ground it is great for cutting all the limbs off the log.
I too have a Shark battery operated vacuum cleaner. It came with two batteries. I can easily vacuum the whole 2700 sq foot house with BOTH batteries. Especially since it is all hardwood and slate floors. However, IF we want to really clean the three wool oriental carpets, it is time to pull out the plug in Dyson. FYI, I bought the Shark because the company that cleans my office used that to vacuum a 14M sq ft space with two batteries.
Battery powered EV cars need to vastly improve three things before I ever consider buying one. First, NOT catch on fire. Second, have 450+ mile range. Charge in ten minutes at widely available spots.

For me charging time is more important than range. If I can get 200 miles in 5 minutes, that would be great.
Even in long trips I stop every couple hours for a quick break, so charging then while I go pee would be no problem.
