What you say is true, light exercise isn’t going to burn a lot of calories. However it will make you feel better and does have other benefits. Even walking about 7,000 steps a day will make you feel much better, increase your circulation and it’s correlated with longevity.

Very true. And once you are used to regularly doing light exercises you will probably feel like doing more. Saying, “this light exercise will only burn x calories and that is not enough so I might as well not try” is short-sighted. Once you are used to light exercises where they become routine you may find yourself ready to take the next step, whatever that is, depending on what your health situation allows.
