Russia lost 24 tanks and 36 artillery systems in one day

Russia continues to suffer losses in its war of aggression against Ukraine, as its defenders killed 850 Russian soldiers and destroyed 36 artillery systems and 24 armored combat vehicles belonging to the Russians over the past 24 hours alone. General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this.

İt is noted that during the war Russia lost 5,265 tanks, 9,901 armored fighting vehicles, 7,328 artillery systems, 854 multiple launch rocket systems, 566 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 322 aircraft, 324 helicopters, 5,495 unmanned aerial vehicles, 9,691 vehicles and fuel trucks, 1,551 cruise missiles, 20 warships/boats, 1 submarine, and 1,034 pieces of special equipment. So, Ukraine says Russian forces lost hundreds of pieces of military equipment, including tanks and artillery systems.

Exact numbers of Russian troop losses are hard to pinpoint and Kyiv’s daily figures are higher than western estimates. Last month the U.K. Ministry of Defense said it was likely that Russia had suffered between 150,000 and 190,000 permanent casualties including those killed and permanently wounded.

This figure does not include personnel from the Wagner Group of mercenaries. Russia has reportedly suffered high losses of troops and equipment since it launched an offensive for the town of Adviivka in the Donetsk oblast. Despite these losses, the Institute for the Study of War said that Moscow’s forces were likely preparing for another wave of highly attritional infantry-led ground assaults on Ukrainian positions in the area.
