Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and former President, posted an eight-thousand-word rant about Polish-Russian relations, calling Warsaw a “dangerous enemy” of Moscow and threatening it with the loss of statehood.

Medvedev has warned that Poland’s actions may lead to a direct confrontation with Russia and Belarus and launch World War III.

“Poland’s own military buildup and Polish military presence in Ukraine may trigger a direct confrontation between Warsaw and Belarus and Russia,” Medvedev said in an article for the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper. “In this case, the allied group will give an appropriate response to prevent threats that stem from the evil ambitions of the Polish establishment,” he stressed.

In Medvedev’s opinion, “Poland’s reckless actions, if rashly supported by its NATO allies, may have far-reaching dangerous consequences for the entire world.” “And then Poland will fulfill the role of ‘the hyena of Europe’ that unleashed World War III,” he noted.

Medvedev also writes about the EU’s “hatred” of Poland and the Poles’ disdain for Ukrainians, but separately focuses on Russia’s attitude towards Warsaw.

“In the 21st century, Russia has a dangerous enemy in Eastern Europe that was revived in the person of Poland... And it should be treated exactly as a historical enemy, considering that it is, in principle, incorrigible. And if there is no hope of reconciliation with the enemy, Russia should only have one and a very rigid attitude towards his fate,” he claims.

Medvedev explains the transformation of Poland into an “enemy” of Russia through “Russophobic revisionist policy” while at the same time recalling how, at the end of the 18th century, the Russian Empire took part in the dismemberment of the then Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The Russian Defense Ministry has said that a ship of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, located at a shipyard in Kerch, “has been damaged”.

SOURCE: Russian Defence Ministry

DETAILS:
Russian propagandists claim that Ukraine fired 15 cruise missiles on the Butoma Shipyard in Kerch.

The invaders’ air defense allegedly shot down 13 of the cruise missiles, and one missile “damaged the ship”.

For half a day prior to that, the Crimean occupiers had been claiming that “some of the debris from the downed missiles fell on the area of one of the dry docks”.

BACKGROUND:

• Explosions were heard and an air-raid warning was issued in Russian-occupied Crimea on 4 November.

• Later, it became known that Air Force pilots had launched successful strikes on Kerch, likely sinking one of the most modern ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, a Kalibr cruise missile carrier.

• Shipbuilding and repair plants in temporarily occupied Crimea which serve the Russian army and are part of the Russian military-industrial complex are legitimate targets for the Ukrainian Defense Forces

I would say starting with carving up poland with Nazi germany and then decades of brutal rule by soviets created this “enemy” of Russia

Ole medved hitting the sauce again

But sadly his psyche is not really at odds with IWI, many Russians.

Russian historical context generally starts at the point the Germans invaded in 1941

Not that they would have, but imagine if the soviets had genuinely came to the aid of poles instead of on the same side as Nazi germany, but shush it was a “SMO “
