Following Ukraine’s use of recently provided US artillery missiles in long-range attacks of airfields, air defense systems, ammunition facilities and other infrastructure in Russian-occupied areas, the Kremlin has now begun conducting simulator missions throughout its air defense forces.

The Kyiv Post media outlet wrote this:
İt is recalled that on Oct. 17 Ukraine carried out attacks against two airfields in occupied Berdyansk and Luhansk, using the M39 cluster munition variant of the US-supplied MGM-140 ATACMS.

The attack destroyed or damaged over a dozen Russian helicopters, air defense systems and ammunition dumps at the sites.

Russia claimed a second attack using ATACMS on Oct. 25, against another airfield to the south of the Luhansk region, had been foiled with two missiles being shot down.
That said, there is mounting evidence that Ukraine’s missiles had actually struck a Russian S-400 air defense complex.

On Oct. 30, Ukraine struck a Russian air defense system on the Black Sea in occupied Crimea with a series of combined missile and special forces attacks on the peninsula.

Despite Russia’s claims to have brought down the missiles during these attacks it was soon being reported that Moscow’s forces were moving logistics and command facilities farther from the front line and out of range of the ATACMS.
İt was further announced that air defense units throughout Russia were starting to train on simulators, specifically to intercept and destroy ATACMS.

Former Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Integrated Air Defense throughout the CIS, Lieutenant-General Aitech Bizhev, said: “Combat teams of all air defense weapons in service with the Aerospace Forces are training on simulators as part of the combat preparation of the entire air defense system across the country.”

Ukraine has created a unique electronic warfare system, Piranha AVD 360, to protect armored vehicles and military personnel against enemy drones.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram

“The Piranha AVD 360 is a unique electronic warfare system to strengthen the Defense Forces. This technology helps to protect armored vehicles and military personnel against enemy drones more effectively,” Fedorov wrote.

In his words, the Piranha AVD 360 electronic warfare system creates a protective dome of up to 600 meters around itself. The system prevents drones from receiving commands and transmitting data. As a result, unmanned aerial vehicles hang in the air, make an emergency landing, or fall uncontrollably.

According to Fedorov, the Piranha AVD 360 electronic warfare system also jams satellite navigation systems, such as Russia’s GLONASS.

“Currently, the system has successfully passed field tests and is ready for serial production. Technologies and innovations are the key to our victory. They help to destroy the enemy more effectively and save the lives of the military,” Fedorov noted.

A reminder that more than 1,500 Ukrainian-made FPV drones were purchased as part of the government program and sent to the Donetsk direction.
