You know, I just watched “The Founder” the other day and McDonald’s was just this pristine company that made good food and staffed good people.
Yep. I always figured that ended in the late 70s when they did they whole “Mickey D’s” thing, going all urban and stuff. Seemed to have gone down hill about that time.
You’re right. They staffed good people - usually nice hard working teenagers who went on to college and better jobs. At one point in the early 80’s one in five people under the age of 50 had worked at MacDonald’s.
It does NOT have that clean cut ‘family’ vibe today.
