“Power will be out for a couple hours for the connect.”

nice! Not that the power will be out but that you’re getting a generator. Is that because your power goes out frequently or just in case? All these stories of grid problems makes me nervous now that we don’t have a wood stove.

We’re relatively rural and lose power often. Sometimes for a couple hours. Never longer than 12. We’ve heard stories, though... No worries in the spring or fall, and you just wait it out. Below freezing would be a problem.

We had a house a couple miles from here and did the whole-house standby Generac. It was wonderful. We’re pretty sure that was one of the main factors for the buyer when we sold. (That is per our realtor at the time.)
