Well there is a huge difference between homemade gnocchi and that prepackaged stuff. I use it in the soup because it doesn’t fall apart like the homemade softer pillows might. And the soup is kind of thick so it goes ok.
The soup would soften the gnocchi as well, whereas if they are just boiled for a few minutes, they could still be a little “bouncy” on the inside.
So there you go, Spunky. You’ve got to make a nice big pot of soup to surround those little rubber balls and turn them into heavenly pillows that melt on your tongue. lol. It’s like magic!
