Ha! Polenta is grits? Polenta with sauce and meatballs or sausage.....now that’s a good winter feast!

Polenta is made with yellow cornmeal though, grits with white. You can even cook them up identical and serve them identically. There is a soft polenta version. You can also cook it until it is very thick and then put it out on a wooden cutting board using a wooden spoon and let it solidify. Italians are very specific how you need to do things. lol. After it cools you can cut it into shapes and then Dust it with flour and fry it or just serve it that way with a sauce.

Now I think I should make some for dinner. But we have too many leftovers in the fridge. Unfortunately my sense of smell and taste are just fine, I’ve probably gained weight
