More powerful bombs today and many more than 2 would be set off causing a nuclear winter because of debris in the atmosphere. Crops wont grow and temps will be much colder.
Best place to survive an all out nuclear war is somewhere in the southern hemisphere.

There's a wide variety of possibilities but since the equilibria of big systems are difficult to disturb, it's unlikely that the effects on climate would be more than temporary.
Unlike the effects due to blast damage and radiation on the human population.
I wonder if that more accurately means currently planted choices of crops won’t grow and if alternatives will? Albeit perhaps in lower yields. And, what would it take to switch over to those? Drastic simplification, but perhaps enough food to feed survivirs of the war.
