VinFast Auto is considering a fifth vehicle for its planned U.S. dealership network: the VF 3 minicar that's specifically designed for the Vietnamese market but could have potential as a sub-$20,000 city car for budget-minded Americans, company representatives told Automotive News.
(Sorry the article only seems to include the one paragraph)
Yup- people are scared that electric is going to take over, and know the value of gas cars will rise as a result- IF there is a regulation banning new gas car sales at any point, the prices of gas cars will be astronomical likely
have you seen new car prices lately?
Yep- especially the price of new trucks- some cost nearly 3 times as much as we paid for our house back in the 70’s.
Back then we bought our 20 or so year old ranch house, 4 bedrooms, 1 bath,on 25 acres with a large pond on the property for $32,000. New trucks these days can run upwards of $80,000 for the larger trucks
And really, the trucks aren’t much better structurally than trucks in the 1990’s or so, they just have more bells and whistles now, and are saddled with such severe restrictions as to what is allowed that it had driven costs sky high
One reason they are so high is less competition and unions!
