“I Was a Teenage Earl Warren”—yes, there really was a film by this name, from 1971. I can’t imagine anything more horrifying.
The scariest horror movie ever is the one that will be made as the United States experiences nuclear warfare.
I saw Night of the Hunter with Robert Mitchum a few years ago & he was terrifying. That is one creepy film.
I believe the Conjuring was also based on a true story
Ghost Story
What a zany hoot that movie is! I have it on DVD, I must show it to my kids now that they’re old enough to appreciate. They love the nutty funnies just like their old man.
It is on DVD. It cost $2.75 to make but….
“The Blob” scared the crap out of me when I was a kid - literally - I couldn’t sit on a toilet for weeks worrying about the Blob coming up.
I never was into horror movies as an adult, but The Exorcist and Phantasm spooked me out.
Chariot’s of Fire, Room with A View, and the English Patient. They were all horrible.
You are not a woman!!🤣🤣
C of F, I agree. So tedious.
A Room With a View.....love love love
English P/ beautiful but depressing.
I rewatch Room every winter.
How how dare you tell me that I am not woman. /s
The Evil Dead. Freaked me out!
“The Blob” scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.I’m sure it was a knockoff of the Blob, but my grandfather left the theater with me because I was so terrified by “X—The Unknown “.
I saw the latest Evil Dead this past summer. I have not seen any of the others, but I want to now. Quite enjoyed myself.
🤣🤣🤣😜
I read “The Shining” back in college. Was on a cross-country ski trip and got snowed in for two days. Stuck in the rustic lodge in the Colorado mountains! It was a good book, and scary. I don’t recall the fact that I was snowed in at a lodge freaked me out. If it had I imagine I would have stopped reading! I was probably 50 miles from Estes Park, which I presume is the fancy hotel that the book took its inspiration from.
Yes, I believe so, too. That was also pretty scary! On one of my kids’ list of scary movies.
Interesting. Snowed in at a lodge in Colorado reading “The Shining”.
I recall watching “Airport” the night before I had to fly from Anchorage to Cleveland. Dumb!
Apparently the Conjuring was based on the people who were also involved with the Amittyville Horror house.
The Amittyville house was in Westchester County NY. Just north of NYC. The Conjuring took place in northwest Rhode Island. Right near the border of CT & MA.
