Also, if you go through the representatives collective Liberty scores, there are A LOT within the 70th percentile. So a Speaker in the 70th percentile is pretty representative of the general body.
Certainly not as conservative as some of us would like but certainly not as liberal as before.
And furthermore, a lot of the Liberty Score “liberal” votes are for spending bills, voting for omnibuses, etc. We get that under control with Speaker Johnson, a number of representatives will move into the 80’s since they’re generally conservative otherwise.
