Not many people are principled enough to risk life in prison rather than turn coat.

For someone who is a licensed and practicing attorney, this is also the loss or suspension of her career and livelihood. People like Ellis and Syndney Powell became lawyers to do justice. Then they get attacked by the injustice of the present American system. The reality is that American judges are too frequently just petty tyrants, and the criminal justice system is a mockery of what was before the ratification of the U.S. constitution. The Anti-federalists were right. Our prosecutors and judges have become too powerful. Reform of the American criminal justice system is needed because it can ensnare anyone in its toils.

None of them, it is really easy to tell other people to grow a spine and fight the case when they are not involved in the case, let them face 20 years on prison and financial ruin and they would fold like a lawn chair in a NY second.

G. Gordon Liddy was remarkable for that. He refused to turn on Nixon and so the government had him locked up for 20 years in retaliation. Even Jimmy Carter recognized the injustice of this and commuted Liddy’s sentence.

Doubt that she would get life in prison but whatever it takes I guess.
