Gaining the knowledge and the skills to apply it is far less important than their precious self-esteem. What a nightmare it’ll be for them when they realize how unfair life can be. They’ll never know how to measure for success or failure. The future belongs to everyone, not just “the children”, and it looks more and more like the adults in the room will have to slap it out of their hands.
