Adjectives mean something. Born in the term tells us “When” the person became a Citizen. The further adjective “natural” tells us how one gained their citizenship, i.e., via the Laws of Nature and Natural Law, not man-made laws, acts, or treaties. The founders and framers considered simply being a “born Citizen”. However, they rejected it and chose instead the Natural Law kind of Citizen, a “natural born Citizen”. See the history of that here: Constitution Day – 17 Sep 2023: A Lesson from History. Is Being a Born Citizen of the United States Sufficient Citizenship Status to be President? The Founders and Framers Emphatically Decided — No It Is Not!: https://cdrkerchner.wordpress.com/2023/09/17/constitution-day-17-sep-2023-a-lesson-from-history-is-being-a-born-citizen-of-the-united-states-sufficient-citizenship-status-to-be-president-the-founders-and-framers-emphatically-decided-no-i/

In furtherance of my comment about “When” and “How” for the term “natural born Citizen” see this White Paper: Read, download, and print a PDF copy of this White Paper by CDR Charles Kerchner (Ret) about the “natural born Citizen” term and presidential eligibility clause in Article II of our U.S. Constitution here: http://www.kerchner.com/protectourliberty/The-Who-What-When-Where-Why-and-How-of-NBC-Term-in-Constitution.pdf
