That hasn’t been my experience. I often buy things there, as recently as last week and am able to use PayPal as well as my debit card or a credit card. No problems, ever.

I sometimes sell on eBay and have seen no issues regarding how a buyer pays for the purchase. I can choose where I want my proceeds deposited as well.

Buying isn’t a problem.

How long have you had a seller account on eBay?

Did they ask you for your soc sec #?

Did you sell anything this year?

Reason I ask is a relative had an account for a long time and sold long ago, and early this year he got a notification that eBay needed his soc sec #.

If he sells more than $600 in a year, he will get a 1099-R form.
