My wife has gone to a pro-Israel demonstration today with some of her Republican women cronies.
I asked her if she is protesting to start a war (Gaza+) or stop one.
She answered: “Good question.”
Personally, I think the place to hit them first is with a blockade of Iran until the hostages are freed or the government falls, whichever comes first. I believe this is how President Trump would proceed, at least severely softening up Hamas if Israel still has to go into the tunnels eventually.
I totally agree that Israel should be allowed to completely eliminate the threat. The reason the Mideast terrorism threat never goes away is because every President since Carter has prevented Israel from completing the task. It’s the formula for endless war.
On the other hand, seeing the Ukraine-loving neocons slobbering over the chance to escalate immediately, eventually to full-scale war with Iran and its allies, gives me pause. The simple fact is that neocon/progressive use of American power has been WRONG 100% of the time. It is also at the root of our current weaponized FBI through the heinous, ought-to-be-unconstitutional, Patriot Act.
I’m just sayin’...Why should Gaza be utterly destroyed when the villains pulling the strings are in Iran, and they could be eliminated by interdiction of Iranian oil?
Short of attempting to sink our Carriers with hypersonic missiles, I don’t see what Iran or its potential allies could do about it. Just disarm the Ayatollahs financially and let the Iranian people do the rest.
Of course the current U.S. executive branch, State Dept., FBI etc. has been thoroughly compromised by the conveyor belt of U.S. DOLLARS sent to Iran and channeled back into their pockets.
I wonder...if there were ever a free democracy in Iran again, like the one our CIA overthrew...would they spill the beans about moneys paid to the likes of Obama, Clinton, Kerry and so many other traitors?
Amazingly, 3 of these Iranian agents were recently fired by Biden. According to Maria, these were at the center of the so-called nuclear deal. We can only assume these are the smallest tip of the iceberg.
