Oh YES Hagerstown is Western Maryland!!!
I guess a Marylander is an authority on what constitutes western Maryland. I’ve never lived in Maryland but have lived in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Hagerstown is almost due south of State College, PA, which is pretty near the exact center of Pennsylvania, but Pennsylvania extends quite a bit further to the west than Maryland does.
