Aw, poor little Pfizer after they went and convinced a court to extend their lock on the drug Eliquis until 2026 blocking any generics that would cut into their profits. I hope they go broke.
Eliquis is a blood thinner similar to Warfarin that people with AFIB need to lower the risk of stroke. Also used to thin the blood when having knee surgery.
Cost of Eliquis (5mg) for 60 day supply is $602.15 with no insurance.
Cost of Warfarin (5mg) 60 tablets is about $22.00 at CVS again with no insurance.
In February of this year Pfizer’s patent ran out so they went to court and got it extended to 2026. It’s obvious why, they want more money.
I forgot that Eliquis is the number one drug recommended and prescribed by Cardiologist nation wide.
