You can plug it in at home.
The price of an average new car has skyrocketed in the U.S. over the past couple of years. Inflation.
To make my point what "problem" is the EV solving? Answer: there is no problem. The "climate" is fine.
The problem is not with the EV. The problem is or was with the electrician.
The car did not initiate the fires. The fires were initiated by circuit breakers overloading and burning. The electrician did not install continuious duty circuit breakers made from bakelite or such. He installed intermittant duty CB’s made from plastic
Tesla is a disruption on a historic scale.
Those who do not want a Tesla or other EV are irrelevant. There is a market that is composed of those who are in fact purchasing the Teslas.
The auto market in Europe is being taken over by the EV’s made by Tesla and by VW.
The way to sit on the side lines and benefit is to not buy the Tesla product but rather buy the Tesla stock
Loss leader.
Resale goes down the toilet
“More ICE vehicles had fires than EV’s”
Expressing those as percentages would be a more realistic comparison, I would think.
Not true.
I live in Vietnam now, but not too long ago I was, to the best I could determine, the third FReeper to make a post in support of Trump.
Seriously.
“In 2018, the average new car sale price was about $38,000 in the US. Now it sits at $47,000.”
24% jump in 4 or 5 years? Ridiculous. Thanks, Bidenomics. Like everything else, auto prices have trended up over the years, but the recent spike seems like the worst in my lifetime. It’s been more than 8 years since I purchased a new vehicle. Back in 2015, when the average was around $33,000, I hardly felt like car prices were “cheap” per se, but I didn’t think that things were totally out of whack.
“I was, to the best I could determine, the third FReeper to make a post in support of Trump.”
I might’ve been on your coattails, or you on mine. I was there from the get-go, for sure.
You FIT right into a communist country. Nestled in are ya? Suppress you long time.
Vietnam might surprize many.
It did me.
Hmmm...
“Toyota laid out a three-phase plan toward a goal of commercializing solid-state batteries by 2027-2028. However, that doesn’t mean solid-state EVs will be widely available at that time, as “full-scale mass production” will begin after.
It also remains to be seen what markets Toyota would launch them in, and how much they would cost. They are likely to be more expensive, and remain that way for years, Reuters predicts. “
$47K average cost for a new car? It’s much cheaper to maintain my current vehicles. Only rust or accidents will make it necessary to replace them. I’ve never paid over $15K for a new or used car and I never will.
China is going absolutely crazy, buying and building EVs right now.
They are (solidly) in second place, and if it weren’t for Tesla, they would be absolutely about to take over the world’s car markets with EVs
BYD is huge there. I believe the American mega-billionaire from Omaha has paired up with the company now.
They are about in third place globally in EVs
Almost in Tesla’s league
Hey aren’t you late for a communist party meeting in Hanoi?
Sorry second or third.
One of those

Ok, if you truly value freedom so little then that comes as no surprise.
