“I think that’s pretty naive (or propagandistic).”
What? That BB Netanyahu has lost elections over the fact that he was a little bit too strict on Palestinian issues? That’s a fact. All you have to do is look at the election he lost and read the narrative around the elections and why he lost.
You might be a pragmatist, but there’s plenty of deranged thinking out there. Netanyahu has always faced opposition within his own party, within the Knesset, within the political spectrum of Israel. For some odd reason anti-conservatism in the country that really does need level-headed leadership exists. I don’t know why? But it’s apparent and expressed opinions are easily researched. Our own MSM is complicit in forwarding this obscure positioning.
Netanyahu might even have been a bit hamstrung and not able to put forward the security posture that is necessary through his experience and the experience of the country he is leading. This past week was a wake up call to the left-leaning activists in country. Terrible circumstances, absolutely.
No, I took your comment to suggest that Bibi’s problems led to Israel somehow missing this attack.
That is naive or propagandistic.
