Grammar guidelines say
“ Always use a person’s self-identified pronoun, including when a person uses the singular “they” as their pronoun. Apparently nothing even grammar will be allowed to be normal in this insane world. I would rather be vilified than call someone other than their biological gender.

If I’m ever asked to call someone by the pronoun “they”, I can always ask “Do you have a mouse in your pocket?” - the same way as when someone’s caught using the “royal we”. 🤣
