Swastika means “Auspiciousness” in Sanskrit, was used in ancient times. Then Greeks used it. Shame the Nazis made it “bad”.
There is a huge Swastika over some of the ruins of Canyon de Chelly cliff dwellings. It was kind of hilarious to watch people freaking out and the Navajo guide explaining that it was a symbol representing good luck/ fortune and was carved into the rock face about 1200 years before the Nazi regime even existed.
