what else about DuPont? Jeepers, man, how much time ya’ got? One of the biggies is Freon. Remember that stuff. DuPont made it for all over the world but a few other folks also made it so it got to be competitive and so, moderately profitable. Then remember how it was breaking the ozone hole? Dupont just happened to have the patent on the perfeck fix-—R12. So SloJoe helped outlaw Freon. A couple decades, or the life of a patent, later, the R12 started killing gators or some such. Nothing to do but call in SloJoe and get it outlawed so they could sell 134a which is why your older car’s AC doesn’t work. Now they’re talking stompy foot about how bad 134a is so it will need to be replaced right on time. The Green Machine SloJoe is fading fast tho so it’s not clear who their new bag man is?

And the ozone hole is just fine.

But they’re not alone. Remember “Jack the Welch” running GE? He’s the bleephole who had the patent on curley light bulbs and got incandescants outlawed so’s he cxould sell the chicom krap for 4 times the price.

You really shouldn’t get me started on dirtbags. This could go on for a lonnnnnggg time. A family member worked on the top floor of DuPont back in the 60’s so I may have seen a little more light than most. And as a long-time licensed powder monkey I’ve seen most of their gyrations moving stuff around the world of plastique and nitro.
