Columbus Day commemorates when Columbus landed in the West Indies in October of 1492.
Leif Erickson should have his own day commemorating when he landed.
I guess October 9th is Leif Erickson Day. Didn’t know that.
Columbus Day was always October 12th anyway.
So they do both have their own day, as they should!
