There is another option:
Consider it a war. A war wherein the enemy lives under no rules, and the people support that (cheer in the streets). The hostages are already dead, IMHO. Hamas and its ‘supporters’ will taunt, torture, rape, and murder and nothing will stop that.
Then consider Gen Sherman words, let there be cruelty. The 2 million people of the West Bank should travel quickly to friendly Arab counties, like Iran. Everybody left in the West Bank is dead or a target after 14 days warning. Destroy every building, bulldoze everything, poor salt into the soil.
Think Romans and Carthage. Military bases only on Gaza, no civilians ever.
It’s now officially a race to the bottom, and the Palestinians with Hamas have set an example. I don’t care, I see no innocent on the West Bank, does the World?

Tell everyone in Gaza they have 48 hours to get out. Fourteen days is too long.
Flatten it. Knock down every building, tree, lamp post, anything vertical. Reduce it to rubble and then make more rubble. Cave in the tunnels. Make it no more.
