I’m constantly flabbergasted about how they cannot forecast ANY consequences of their actions.

Acknowledging consequences puts them at risk of admitting they might be wrong. Since they are intellectually and morally superior to us they can’t do that. When you develop that kind of elitist mindset whatever it is you want has to be good and right, and anyone who suggests otherwise is obtuse and ignorant. That’s how they roll.

Just look at their "green energy" scams for proof of that. There is NO WAY you can power industrial societies with solar and wind. It is a physical, economic, and technical impossibility.

Yet they keep pretending it will work and preaching that to the hoi polloi. They are like Dorothy clicking the ruby slippers.

They eventually reach a point where they simply can no longer ignore truth and quietly repudiate their wrong-headed, stubborn, infantile beliefs. Just look at the very quiet re-start of building the wall on the Mexican border.
