We live in Oldtown about 45 minutes north of CDA. Winter stretches that to an hour maybe more. We're rural on 5 acres, so that's nice. That kind of spread goes for northwards of $450K/$500K if you're lòoking for something decent. Rathdrum is a lot closer but not right in town. Nothing is cheap anymore, though. $350K/$400K is pretty much the low end around here now.

All that said, CDA doesn't have quite the shitlib infestation that Boise does. Open carry is no big deal, so that should give you some idea of the tone around here.

since I live in grizzly territory, I carry a SBH 44 on my hip. a few times I actually forgot to take it off going into the bank. No one really gave a $hit. In fact it isnt even posted not to open carry at the banks here. There was a Lib doctor that posted it on his door when he was in business for a few years, but he’s gone now. CDA and north has a atmosphere (and weather) that seems to keep the Libs and gimmedats away.
