Cuellar: ‘Sad’ that McCarthy Ouster I and Dems Voted for Means House Is Paralyzed
Breitbart ^

Posted on 10/04/2023 6:07:59 AM PDT by Tench_Coxe

"On Tuesday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power,” Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) stated that it’s “sad” that the ouster of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Speaker of the House, which he voted in favor of, along with all the Democrats who voted, means that the House can’t act on important issues.

Cuellar said, [relevant remarks begin around 24:45] “It’s sad, it really is sad for the United States. Here we are in the middle of trying to do the appropriations, we’ve got Ukraine, we’ve got border issues, and within the Republican Party, they’re having this civil war. And it’s just sad. It doesn’t help the country one bit at all.

The MAGA element of the House has to face the fact that it lacks the votes to get the perfect Speaker. Democrats — who don’t do circular firing squads — team up with RINOS to keep our best people out. Until we get more MAGA congressmen, McCarthy may be as good as we can get, and his successor will be worse.

The Speaker of the House need NOT be a sitting member of the House. That would allow the slender Republican majority to agree on one non-member acceptable to all factions.

NO sitting Republican Representative stands much chance before the full caucus of the current cohort of Republicans now serving in the House.

All the Young Guns from that book about Young Gun Republican leaders are now gone.

Those so called Young Guns did not make a lasting impact did they?

If Gowdy hates this, and Newt hates this, and the GOPe hates this, I am 100% on board.

If the house can’t figure out a way to shut down this border thru the power of the purse, then they are worthless imho.

And that’s just table stakes.

Listen to Biggs 7 minute floor speech, that tells me all I need to know.

*******
Of course not — if he has the votes. Hope I’m wrong, but the RINOs will see that he doesn’t.

No, the House isn’t paralyzed, that is the propaganda the dims are pushing. The Speaker Pro Tem has the same power as speaker of the house, in this case.

Thank you for referencing that article Tench_Coxe.

"Cuellar: ‘Sad’ that McCarthy Ouster I and Dems Voted for Means House Is Paralyzed [emphasis added; actually great news]"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

The House being paralyzed is effectively what the drafters of the Constitution had intended for the peacetime, constitutionally limited power federal government.

In other words, hero Gaetz & Company have restored the Constitution, at least temporarily.

Funding issues aside, I'm sure that the US Mail Service will continue to deliver the mail regardless of the paralyzed House, the Mail Service being one of the very few powers that the states have actually given the feds to dictate domestic policy, most federal domestic policy these days based on stolen state powers.

McCarthy is gone. It's now up to us Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to likewise kick the remaining incumbent federal lawmakers up for reelection out of office, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company, (others?), by primarying them in 2024.

Constitution-savvy patriots can provide lists of patriots for Trump to choose from to endorse for 2024.

Yah, if it is your version of the US, I have no intention of supporting it in any manner whatsoever.

So, piss off. Kinda too bad you survived your fake car jacking. What message was given to you when that happened? What, you didn’t bend over enough?
