“If she was attacked by a human, someone would have also heard her scream I would think.”

I hope they find this poor child. What a nightmare!

If it was a person they would likely make efforts to ensure she could not scream, but an animal wouldn’t care about that I don’t think.

Bears are very dangerous, know they are not carnivorous, but that doesn’t seem to stop them from attacking people.

A grown man was killed by a bear in NJ a year or two ago. And he was not out in the wilderness, he was hiking in a park with a group of friends. I forget the details but the poor guy was killed.

Three or four years ago, a black bear killed a young child at a bungalow camp in Sullivan County, NY. A couple of weeks ago, a rabid black bear attacked two people in Westchester County, NY. In August, a black bear in Columbia County, NY killed a miniature donkey (they weigh about 250 lb.) and the bear was killed when it went back a few days later for seconds. Also, in western CT (close to the NY border), a black bear recently tried to take a domesticated pig, but the pigs ganged up and fought back and the bear retreated.

I would assume if she was attacked by a wild animal, bear, coyote, etc..there would be torn clothes and blood all over the place..what is the bear going to do, kill her and drag her off somewhere to hide her, after all its a bear..so its either one of a few theories, either the “Friends” are lying and something happened to her which they covering up, a stranger took her, or she had an accident while playing around that area, maybe check the river if there is one
