At risk of causing turmoil, that has been my general view of Trump. He was surrounded and “raised” by leftists, so his immediate gut reaction to events is generally leftist. But his advisors corrected him into a more centrist or rightist position.
Thank God he loves America and what it stands for, because that is his usual ending point - doing something that is good for America. Which has been my primary reason for supporting him.
In some ways Trump does, but not always. He wanted jail time for women who have abortions (and rightly so), only to have all women everywhere come down on him.
