There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.
-Ernest Hemingway
Back in the 80's while on vacation in Acapulco, my family and I went to watch the bull fights. I had to leave after about 10 minutes. It's nothing more than the public, barbaric torture of an animal and has no place in a civil society.
To quote Archie Bunker - “Would it make you feel any better if they was pushed out a window little girl?” (or processed into tasty steaks)
I’m all for it.
Their culture is really none
of my business.
If y’all want to protest
animals being needlessly
slaughtered, what of those
birds and beaching whales
losing their lives to our
miracle cure for climate
change?
Those that kill the bull
for sport are not unlike
any hunter in the US that
spends great time and
effort to put meat on the
table. The matador becomes
the hunter.
The bull has an inherent
ability to defend itself,
as many a matador has died
practicing this sport.
There are literally hundreds
of hunting shows on your
cable networks.
The main difference?
There aren’t 50,000 people
sharing your duck blind.
