The Larsen crash is just weird. I wrote earlier that there must be a health issue involved. The plane belly flopped and was mostly intact. Cabin was mostly intact. Lost a wing which was still attached. A Piper Cherokee is a very forgiving plane. Easy to fly and will fly straight and level by itself if you just let go of the yoke. No explosion. No fire. no nothing. Not any real speed involved or there would have been more damage. It looks more like a bad rough field landing than a wreck.

When an aircraft crashes due to a stall often the people on the plane will suffer broken spines and pass away before they can be reached. With their injuries they are unable to egress and escape.
